Everyone give 2carm2carm2 a warm welcome :) I’m excited to have her as a part of my author interview series and hopefully you’ll find this as interesting as I did, and if you haven’t read her story The King’s Mistress then you’ll go give that a chance!

What did you think of Breaking Dawn?

At first I loved it. I’ll admit I stared at the “The End” page for about

five minutes, I couldn’t fathom it was done….but then my sister

(SimplyDazzling) Justy and I started to analyze it. And now I can say I’m

not a fan of that one.

Favorite Twilight couple?

Jared and Kim! FTW! Just kidding, umm, it’s a tie between Alice & Jasper or

Emmett & Rosalie. I have to say that in the fanfiction world I like R & E

better because I love Emmett but in the series it’s definitely A & J.

Why did you decide to write a period piece? Where did your inspiration come from?

Since I was like 8 I’ve always been a bit of a silent history nut. First I

was obsessed with the Revolutionary War, I read any book I could about it.

Then it evolved into the Trojan War after I accidently watched Troy, and then

I started reading some books about Elizabeth I and Bloody Mary and then I saw

a trailer for The Other Boleyn Girl.

I didn’t read the book or even see the movie before I started to write the

story even though that’s what a bunch of people think. I watched my first

The Tudors episode last week!

So basically I just took that silent historic passion and mixed with my

Twilight obsession with no intention of putting it on the internet.

Did you do any research for the stories or is this all from your imagination?

I had to check some facts when I was writing that story.

I love Google. So much.

But the facts were small like births, common names, court order and different

titles of wealth. I didn’t do any hard core, library research.

What’s your favorite type of FanFic to read?

Surprisingly enough, it isn’t historic pieces. I mean if I mind a good one

I’ll check it out but I don’t search for them.

I like a really wide variety from Master of the Universe to The Fallout. If

they have a good summary with more than 10 chapters written and I’ve seen

more than once; I’ll read the first chapter to see if I like it.

Is there any type you never read? Why?

God yes. Those cliché high school love stories that don’t have much

substance or other plot lines; hate them. I stay away from D/s stories for the

most part too, though there are exceptions. Oh and I hate when Bella’s

pregnant as a teenage. I stopped reading The Hard Way to Learn a Lesson

because of that without hesitation.

Do you have a specific writing process?

Turn on music, and then alternate between Facebook and Microsoft Word unless

I’m super into what I’m writing at the time. Sometimes I have a snack. So

yeah…definitely specific…

What was the most changeling thing about writing from the time period?

Blah! People asking if I was copying The Other Boleyn Girl! If you write

anything from a time period people will compare it to the most famous story of

that period. All the other researching crap was fun, I didn’t mind it. But I

can’t even count how many authors notes I wrote about how I didn’t get

inspired from that story.

Who was your favorite character to write? Why?

I’m assuming your asking about The King’s Mistress…and if so I loved

writing it Bella’s mind. She’s like my fantasy 16th century life. If I

imagine myself living in that era it’s as Bella Swan, queen of England with

a sexy, amazing husband who’s the king. I just loved writing her, because I

could do a lot. It was all real fiction though because no one would have had a

life like Bella then.

What character are you most proud of? Has grown the most, in your eyes?

Emmett (: And Edward, really, all my guys in that story I am proud of. When

the story started they’re all going to whorehouses and flirting with every

woman in site, but they all grew to love, though for Emmett it took him till

like the last chapter before he finally realized that love had been right in

front of him.

Great. I love sounding like the Hallmark Channel.

Is there any music you like to listen to when you write?

I can’t write without music! I just have to have music! When I was writing

TKM I listened to a lot of similar songs, they just had to flow easily

together. Like a light rock station sorta. Its not like I can listen to 3OH!3

or Ke$ha when I was writing that one. Well I think I did that once actually…

Favorite author outside of fanfiction?

Hands down Nicholas Sparks. Best authors of that generation. I like some James

Patterson sometimes too.

Working on anything new, planning anything after this story, or just taking

one thing at a time?

Yes! I cannot wait for summer to have uninterrupted time to right the new

story I’ve been planning for months.

I’m really excited about this one! I’ve got pages of planning written out

and a bunch of pictures to go with the places and outfits already. This one

won’t be a period piece; I think it’s time for me to try my hand at

writing in the real world…

If you ever got a bit of writers block, how do you handle that? Anything

special you do?

Bwahaha, no! Any tips?

When I get writers block I’m SOL for about 3 weeks which is a long time in

the writing world if you ask me.

Anything else you’d like to say about writing fanfiction or your story?

To anyone writing your own FF story, be brave and put it on the site, you

could be the next Angstgoddess for all you know. But edit it properly (:

Why Read? This story is perfect for the royalty theme and anyone who watching shows like the tudors. I stuck this fan fic here because of the huge age difference between Edward (late 20s, almost 30 i believe) and Bella (about 15) but honestly if you think of this as terms of the time period it was written for, its wasn't uncommon at all. A lot less smutty then i thought it was going to be, more meaningful and deep, definitely a story i come back to, to reread every once and a while. The plot line is creative, fun and witty, filled with adventure, fluff, smut, and everything in between. Give it a shot, you might just fall in love.

I’d like to welcome Kambria Rain to The Electronic Bookshelf!

I’m excited to be able to discuss her story Bella Swan: Kidnapper, and just learn a little bit more about the author herself. So, enjoy the interview – go read the story and check out her other stories.

What did you think of Breaking Dawn?

Answer: I liked it. I would have liked it more if Steph had at least killed

off Jane, but I can always turn to fanfiction for stuff like that.

Favorite Twilight couple?

Answer: Emmett and Rosalie. This may or may not be due to my unhealthy love

for Emmett.

Which movie did you like more, Twilight or New Moon? Why?

Answer: I liked New Moon for completely shallow reasons. There was a lot of

eye candy in that movie. I liked the vampire eyes better in Twilight though.

The ones in New Moon kind of reminded me of pee, and Edward Cullen was not

supposed to have ** colored eyes.

Where did you come up with this story idea?

Answer: I don’t know. I was sleep deprived, and it just popped out of

nowhere. I hope that happens again soon.

What’s your inspiration when writing?

Answer: Laughter. Reviewers have told me how they were on the receiving end of

a few weird looks for laughing out loud when they read something in my story.

That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I really loved your Nessie, where did you come up with her character?

Answer: Thank you! I was having fun writing Bella, but I had to hold back with

her craziness because, as a mother, she had to be responsible every now and

then. I came up with Nessie’s character so I wouldn’t have any

limitations. She could get away with just about anything.

Any favorite places to write?

Answer: My couch! It’s an amazing piece of furniture. I have more love for

it than I do my roommates.

I’m really impressed with the way you were about to write the kids in your

story so convincingly. Where did your inspiration/insight for them come from?

Answer: I have two older brothers and an older sister who have made it their

mission in life to keep the world fully populated, so I have a ton of nieces

and nephews. They were my inspiration for Leo, Ethan, and Sophie.

Who would you say supported you the most when writing?

Answer: Reviewers. In real life, only my younger sister knew about my

fanfiction addiction, and she was nothing but a nuisance. The girl was

relentless in her quest to get the answer to baby daddy mystery.

Who/what inspired your characterizations of Edward and Bella in your story?

Answer: I just wanted to write characters that I liked. I love reading man **

Edwards and bitchy Bellas, but I think writing them like that would give me a

headache.

What’s your favorite type of FanFic to read?

Answer: I like the dark and angsty stuff, and I have no idea why because I’m

definitely not a dark and angsty person.

Is there any type you never read? Why?

Answer: I don’t read much slash because it makes me bitter. There are too

many hot guys that I can’t have because they have boyfriends of their own,

so I don’t want to read about it. It feels like rubbing it in.

Do you have a specific writing process?

Answer: I write as I go. I never plan anything out, but it’s because I’m

incapable. I tried to outline a story once, and I ended up with a waste basket

full of paper balls.

What was the most changeling thing about writing your story?

Answer: Keeping it somewhat realistic. I wanted things to be possible even if

they were unlikely. Hitting Victoria with a car may have been slightly over

the top, but I loved that part too much to change it.

Who was your favorite character to write? Why?

Answer: It’s a tie between Bella and Leo. I especially loved writing the

interactions between those two. They did not have what most people would

consider a normal parent-child relationship, but it worked for them, and you

could tell how much they loved each other.

What character are you most proud of? Has grown the most, in your eyes?

Answer: Nessie, especially if you read Officer Goodbody. She had all sorts of

problems that would turn many people into bitter, angry harpies, but she got

her act together without losing her spunk.

Is there any music you like to listen to when you write?

Answer: I just put my iPod on shuffle, and there is some of every genre on

that sucker.

Favorite author outside of fanfiction?

Answer: J.K. Rowling. I can’t help it; I’m a Harry Potter nerd.

Working on anything new, planning anything after this story, or just taking

one thing at a time?

Answer: I have started half a dozen stories, but I haven’t been able to

stick with one. I was hoping to finish one before I started posting; that way

there would be no pressure. People can get crazy when they don’t get their

updates.

Reading anything write now that you’d like to recommend?

Answer: I am reading too many, but the one I’m most obsessed with is Mens

Rea- A Guilty Mind by forbidden-fruit81. I am desperately trying to crack the

case before Bella.

Anything else you’d like to say about writing fanfiction or your story?

Answer: My advice for those reading my story is don’t take it seriously.

Just enjoy the silliness for what it is.

Summary: Um. Hi. I don’t really know how to say this, but I have your kids with me, and I was thinking maybe you would like them back. So yeah… call me.

Why Read? I remember when i first came across this story i was so intrigued by the summary given, i mean how the heck does someone leave that kind of voice mail?? So I started to read and I'm really glad I did. I wasn't sure at first if i was going to continue, since Edward/Bella have kids when they meet, and that's something I tend to avoid in fanfic, since I feel like they are hard to write about and therefore end up being too much like babies no matter what age, or too wise for their years, but just a turn off over all. But I was amazing to find that I loved Kambria Rain's writing of the kids in the story, it was beyond perfect, they added so much to the story. Then it also had me hooked as Edward and Bella both had snarky, sarcastic witty humor that made every conversation better. Its my kind of humor so reading about it is the best way to get me laughing. It has a rough start to the story, maybe a little over the top? Its hard to describe, but as you read more you really feel like KR gets into an amazing 'groove' with the story and writing the characters. So make sure you keep reading this story, its beyond worth it. (this story is also highly recommended by my friend MC, we actually read it separately then both rec'd it to each other) And now I'm actually going to have to go reread this now that I've spent so much time talking about it...

Spotlight: MissAlex

Hello again, i've been extremely fortunate in that all the author's that i've contacted are wonderful about responding and are enthusiastic to talk to me about anything really. This post though is all about MissAlex and her amazing story Rebel Without A Cause. She's got a lot to say but you'll love it all. If you haven't read the story, what are you waiting for??

"Rising 1950s movie starlet, Isabella Swan, is taking Hollywood by storm. But what happens when Bella meets Edward Cullen, a hot, young, rebel, Method actor from New York City, who is brought out to Los Angeles to star in his first film? AU/AH"

1. What did you think about Breaking Dawn?

I loved Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse but I absolutely despised Breaking Dawn. I did not like the turn of events and I found it drawn out and boring. They talked about the pending battle for hundreds of pages and yet in the end, nothing exciting actually happened. The whole "fade to black" thing during the honeymoon was just ridiculous, especially considering Meyer spared no details when describing that gory birthing scene. It was just laughable to me, quite frankly. I also felt that Bella and Edward's relationship was put on the back burner during most of Breaking Dawn (post Honeymoon) and because of that I lost interest. And don't even get me started on Renesmee. I was just disappointed overall, but there are some people out there who liked Breaking Dawn and I totally respect that.

I really think that the actors in the franchise should get paid extra for having to film the fourth movie (LOL). I truly feel sorry for them for having to participate in it. Here's hoping that Melissa Rosenberg writes a good screenplay and Bill Condon, the director, does his part to save the film from being an embarrassing abomination.

2. Favorite Twilight couple?

Definitely Bella and Edward. Sure, Bella is annoying with her "I hate gifts," "I hate prom/parties" and "I hate attention" stuff, and Edward can be a little (Okay, a lot) controlling, but I find their relationship endearing. It's extreme but that is what makes it so fun, in my opinion.

3. Which movie did you like more, Twilight or New Moon? Why?

I'd say New Moon, just because of the bigger budget. I thought Hardwicke did a dreadful job with the first film. The blue tint annoyed me and if you notice, Edward's ears were bright red throughout almost the entire thing. If he's a vamp, that wouldn't happen, LOL. Maybe I'm being too picky, but overall, I thought that the flaws overpowered the good points of the film. But I guess that's in part to the low financial support Hardwicke received from Summit because they had no idea how big of a hit they had on their hands, so perhaps I shouldn't be too harsh.

In New Moon, I thought the CGI was well done. The makeup was a lot better and the rich hue of the film and the different settings (for example, the inclusion of Italy) really made it a lot of fun.

I wasn't a Jacob fan in the books, but in the New Moon film, I felt awful for him. Poor guy. He's there for Bella the entire time she's depressed and then Edward shows up and she acts like what they shared never happened. She forgives Edward immediately and tells Jacob "it will always be him." I may be a Bella/Edward relationship fan but I really found that they came across as very selfish in the second film and my sympathy card was definitely dealt toward Jacob.

I wished New Moon had more of the Cullen family, but I suppose that will happen in the 3rd and 4th film. Eclipse is my favorite book of the series so I'm looking forward to the movie's release in June.

4. Where did the idea/inspiration for this story come from?

For me, this is a loaded question. I collect vintage 1950s Hollywood memorabilia. My main interests are 1950s James Dean, Marlon Brando and Paul Newman photographs. I also have a ton of real autographs from my dad's friend's private collection (he was a reporter out in Los Angeles and has since retired to Malibu) so my collection is very extensive, valuable, and extremely unique.

My other passion is vintage films. I adore the TV station Turner Classic Movies and my DVD collection is very large.

One of my favorite actors is Marlon Brando (think On The Waterfront, A Streetcar Named Desire and Guys and Dolls). I think that he is brilliant. I also like James Dean. Despite my fan fic story being called Rebel Without a Cause, I actually don't like that film. My favorite Dean film by far is East of Eden. I based DeanWard on that character.

Montgomery Clift (think A Place in the Sun) is also brilliant, Natalie Wood, Katharine Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor, etc, etc. This list goes on.

My favorite director is Elia Kazan. He directed some of my most cherished films and I love including him in my story.

I adore old movies because they were so much simpler, yet I believe, more exciting.

When I write Rebel, I envision Bella and DeanWard in black and white, with the music swelling in the background, the eloquent one-liners, the fairytale romance, etc. It's quite fun having to stick to the morale of the time period and all of its restrictions, yet at the same time, allow my characters to find their own way and mature, despite all of this. It makes for some interesting moments along the way, in my opinion.

Anyway, given my interest, it was natural for me to merge the Twilight characters with Classic Hollywood . Not only that, but from what I've seen, my story's setting is completely original, especially since I integrate real classic stars into my fic and have them interact with my original characters. The possibilities are endless! I also love when my readers tell me their favorite actor or actress, director, etc was in one of my chapters.

5. Did you do any research for the story or is this all from your imagination?

Since I watch a lot of classic film and read a lot of autobiographies on various people who were around in the Golden Age of Hollywood, I have a plethora of knowledge on many aspects of the studio system, as well as tidbits on many classic stars, all of which I love to include in my story.

So most of the time, I write my chapters without doing any research. The only time I'll ever Google something is if I'm not sure if a particular product was around in 1953/1954 - something like that. Other than that, I just write based on the knowledge I already have, and the new stuff that I acquire from additional reading or new films I may watch.

As for the Rebel plot, I have no idea where that came from. I guess it emerged from my imagination, given all of the classic films I've watched and all of the 'behind the scenes' stories I've read.

Originally, my outline was 30 chapters. Now the epilogue will be chapter 75. No one is more surprised with this than me, LOL. But every one of my chapters is written with a purpose. I don't believe in fluff or drama just for the sake of fluff and drama. Everything in Rebel happens for a reason. There are no filler chapters (sometimes the purpose of a particular chapter isn't clear to the reader until later on) and I'm proud of that.

I'm always flattered when people tell me they've learned so much about Classic Hollywood from reading my story - that is truly the best compliment.

6. Who would you say supported you the most when writing?

Lauren (aka Larin20, author of Treading Water and co-author of my second story, Every October) has definitely supported me throughout this process. She is my pre-reader/person who changes my Canadian spelling to American and an all around wonderful person. We'll be meeting for the first time in June and I can't wait.

Then there are my fellow BFFFers (Best Friends of Fan Fiction, BFFF, as we named ourselves over a year ago). They include such authors as LittleLea05, EmmaleeWrites05, HopelessRomantic79, Punkfarie, the list goes on. There are so many of us and we even have our own website and Facebook page.

Anyway, those girls are amazing. We share so many laughs that we're no longer just 'fan fic friends' but true friends. They are truly wonderful.

Then, of course, there is my boyfriend, Mike. He knows nothing about Twilight, hasn't read the books or even seen the films, but he's a writer too (And he's a researcher for The History Channel - he works on their World War II documentaries) so he edits my Rebel chapters and loves teasing me about DeanWard (he jokes that he's too emo - we have fun discussing him, LOL). And overall, he gives me great suggestions, points out my weaknesses in writing by offering feedback, etc, and basically, he makes my chapters brilliant. He supports me whole-heartedly, it's wonderful.

7. Who/what inspired your characterizations of Edward and Bella in your story?

James Dean for Edward, hands down. There are many similarities.

For Bella, I think of her like a June Allyson/Doris Day type character. Basically the sweet girl-next-door.

8. What’s your favorite type of FanFic to read?

I don't really have a preference, just something with a plot that's not overrun with smut.

9. Is there any type you never read? Why?

Usually, I only stick to fics that center around Bella and Edward. I'm not against other pairings, it's just that those are the ones I tend to gravitate to without really thinking about it. But I've read a Bella/Emmett story and a Bella/Jasper story that two of my fellow BFFFers wrote and I really enjoyed them, so who's to say that I won't read more non-canon/non-BxE fics in the future? :)

10. Do you have a specific writing process?

Not at all. Lately, I haven't even been writing the story in order, LOL. I've been skipping head to later chapters, then going back and filling in the gaps. And when I write a chapter, I don't even write it from start to finish. I'll usually start somewhere in the middle, then maybe write the end, then the beginning. It all depends on what part of the chapter interests me the most and then I go from there.

11. What was the most challenging part of writing Rebel Without A Cause?

At first, it was finding Edward's 'voice." I really didn't want him to sound like Bella but with swear words, LOL - I wanted him to stand out and be unique - a refreshing change from Bella, who is very proper. Now I don't have trouble, but when I first started, I had to fix him up a bit to get him just right. Now he's my preferred POV, even though BPOV still comes a lot easier for me.

12. What character are you most proud of? Has grown the most, in your eyes?

Well, my story isn't complete yet but because I have the entire thing outlined in detail and I only have 4 more chapters left to write, I can honestly say that Bella and Edward both come a long way throughout the story. By the end, the changes in them are remarkable. Regardless if people are happy with the outcome of Rebel, I can say that I am very proud of Bella and Edward's evolution. I've taken my time to get their growth just right, both as individuals and as a couple, and hopefully that transcends to the reader and they appreciate and enjoy that.

Then, of course, there is the big Jasper mystery that everyone is dying to uncover. He does a lot of growing too. He's my favorite Rebel character, FYI, even though he's not the central focus of the story, by any means.

13. Is there any music you like to listen to when you write?

I can't listen to music at all when I'm writing. It distracts me too much. I may listen to some 1950s music before I write, to get myself into the groove, but never while I'm actually typing.

I could never read while listening to music either. I'll never be one of those authors that suggests a playlist to my readers because I want them to concentrate completely on the story, as there are a lot of minute details in each of my chapters that are important to the overall plot and I don't want anyone to miss anything.

14. Favorite author outside of fanfiction?

I read a lot of biographies and autobiographies so I don't really have a favorite author. However, I am really enjoying J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series, as well as her new series, Fallen Angels - both of which I highly recommend.

Zsadist is my favorite Brother from the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, in case anyone is wondering. His book (the 3rd book of the series) was my favorite, followed by Rhage's, Wrath's and Rehv's. I wasn't too keen on V's book, Butch's book or Phury's book.

15. Working on anything new, planning anything after this story, or just taking one thing at a time?

After I finished Rebel, I'm going to go back and re-edit all of the chapters. I started that story over a year ago with absolutely no writing experience (I have a Chemistry degree in University and I'm working on a Nursing degree right now as my second area of study so I'm mostly a math/science person) so I will probably find a lot of stuff I want to fix.

Eventually, I will pull Rebel from FF.net and change all the characters names and get the story bound into four books, just for my own bookshelf. My boyfriend Mike is going to help me with that. But don't worry, I will give my readers advanced warning before I take it down.

Then, of course, I also write Every October with Larin20 (I write EPOV and she writes BPOV) so I'll finish that.

16. Anything else you’d like to say about writing fanfiction or your story?

I just want to say a big thank you to all of my readers for their support and reviews. I encourage more people to share their comments with me on Rebel - that would be very much appreciated - but overall, I'm just so grateful for everyone's support, whether they speak up or not.

Hello People on the Internet! Its Ed, and I’m here to present to you the very first author interview on The Electronic Bookshelf! For this interview I was lucky enough to get to ask Lalina some questions about her, her writing and her story, The Sacrificial Lamb/The Lion and the Jackal.

Q: What did you think of Breaking Dawn?

A: I had a mixed reaction; I liked certain parts and not others. I hated that SM made Jacob into a pedophile and the battle that never was left me disappointed since the Cullens, their friends and the wolves would have kicked some Volturi

** :)) I hadn't followed the series however, I read all 4 books in one shot so I don't think I was quite as disappointed as the more diehard fans who'd had to wait for the book to come out. Overall, I liked it, however.

Q: Favorite Twilight couple?

A: Need you ask? Bella and Edward!

Q: Which movie did you like more, Twilight or New Moon? Why?

A: I liked NM better. I thought the acting was slightly better, I liked the colour palate, I liked that there wasn't raucous music through dialogue scenes, the effects were much better as well. There was stuff that was lacking for me (Rob was too mellow, Kristen... well, she's just her, I wish they hadn't cut out so much of what happened once Bella and Edward reunited) but overall it wasn't too bad.

Q: How did you come up with the idea for TSL?

A: Would you believe it was a dream? lol... Serious, I dreamed part of the first chapter of TSL (when Aro offers Bella to Edward) and when I woke up, I couldn't get it out of my head. I started wondering why Aro would have Bella in the first place? Who is Edward to him? and next thing you know, I had the basic concept of the story and the first chapter written.

Q: Did you do any research for the stories or is this all from your imagination?

A: It's all from my imagination, but I did do a lot of research into guns, shooting, geography etc. as I was writing it out :))

Q: Who would you say supported you the most when writing?

A: The girls who followed me from my previous story, Love Net. I posted chapter 1 for them to see if they thought the story was worth pursuing and got huge thumbs up, so I continued the story.

Q: Who/what inspired your characterizations of Edward and Bella in your story?

A: You know what? No one and nothing! lol... Honestly, I didn't really picture anyone in particular or base my characters on anyone in particular. Of course, I used SM's character descriptions and pieces of their personalities, but otherwise it was just what I imagined in my mind.

Q: What, in your opinion, did you find most challenging about writing TSL/TLATJ?

A: Trying not to make it into a bad Sopranos episode :)) And trying to keep it as realistic as fiction can get.

Q: So you left us really hanging at the end of TSL, did you do that on purpose, already having the ideas for a sequel ready? Or did you that just happen over time?

A: Well, as I mentioned in my post-story notes, TSL was never intended to be a sequel. But somewhere along the line I got the idea for TLTJ and decided to change the ending. I figured what better way to amp ppl up for the sequel by ending it with a bang! (pun intended) For the most part it worked, but I had some pretty ** off ppl on my hands at first! :))

Q: How did you feeling when you started writing the sequel/posting it on? About the reader’s response to the first few chapters?

A: I was excited to get writing again. I had taken a bit of a break between the stories (about 1mo) so it was nice to get back in the groove. It was a bit harder to write than TSL because I was working with a different POV, but luckily things evened out pretty quickly.

Reader response has been really positive from the get go! I was honestly surprised at how many ppl came out and supported the sequel. It was really awesome and made me incredibly happy so many ppl were willing to give it a chance. Esp those who felt a little disgruntled at the end of TSL!

Q: I know it was pretty angsty at first, was that any harder to write then the rest of the story?

A: Yeah, the angst kicked my butt for a while :)) Let me tell you, I was so happy when they arrived in Florida and Emmett joined the party! LOL

Q: If you had to pick, which do you like writing more, TSL or TLATJ? Why?

A: I think I liked TSL more because of the new love aspect to it. And there were more twists and surprises so it was really fun and exciting to watch reader response. TLTJ was darker, heavier to write, more angst and heartbreak, plus we touched on some sadistic moments and THAT was difficult to write as well.

It took a lot more out of me!

Q: Any idea how long you plan for TLATJ to be?

A: If I've done the math right it should be about 32 chapters including prologue and epilogue. I do have 3 out takes that will be posted in addition to that as well.

Q: It feels like its being wrapped up, if so how do you feel being getting near the end of this, well these, stories? What’s it like wrapping ups something so big?

A: Ah, but is it the wrap up? lol... who knows ;)) But in all seriousness, the end of any story is tough. This will be my 4th completed story and let me tell you, it doesn't get any easier! You spend so much time crafting these ppl and living with them in your head and it's hard to say goodbye to them. Even in a sequel situation it can be hard... well for me it was because Edward and

Bella, as well as the dynamic of their relationship, had changed SO much so I was still in essence saying goodbye.

Q: What’s your favorite type of FanFic to read?

A: I don't have one. I'll read anything if it's written well and has a good plot

Q: Is there any type you never read? Why?

A: I tend not to read S&M and slash stories. No particular reason, they just aren't my cup of tea.

Q: Do you have a specific writing process?

A: Usually, I just wait for the kidlets to go to bed, go to my bedroom so I can avoid TV distraction, play my MP3s and write in the dark :))

Q: What’s the hardest part about writing for you?

A: Lately, it's finding the time! My youngest used to go to bed at 7pm and since DST kicked in, he's now going to be closer to 9. That's 2hrs a night I've lost which makes a HUGE difference! By writing a few chapters at a time, I've managed.

Q: Who was your favorite character to write? Why?
A: In TSL probly Bella cause she was spunky and fun. In TLTJ it's Emmett, hands down.

Q: What character are you most proud of/has grown the most, in your eyes?
A: I'm most proud of Edward, he has grown the most since the start of the story and he's had quite the journey.

Q: Is there any music you like to listen to when you write?
A: I listen to a mix of stuff, really :))

Q: Favorite author outside of fanfiction?

A: Diana Gabaldon, author on The Outlander series.

Q: Working on anything new, planning anything after this story, or just taking one thing at a time?
A: For sure I'll be writing a shorter story about Max for a FGB piece. After that, I'm not sure. I did have a story I wanted to start but I may keep that on the back burner for now in order to take a bit of a break. Or maybe not... Things are up in the air at the moment, really.

Q: Anything else you’d like to say about writing fanfiction or your story?
A: Maybe just a huge thanks to the girls who've followed my stories and have been a constant support on the Twi'd board. Also to those ppl who read and review and move me with how much they enjoy my stories. And of course, much love to my beta Beowulfgirl, she's been detrimental to my sanity this go round!

TSL Sequel

Why Read? This has to be one of my favorite fan fiction's, it well it completely surprises you the whole time (and that's not that easy to do). You follow Edward and Bella, as you've never read them before. The atmosphere created is addictive, and well it's a really hot story. And, the sequel is just as good if not better, personally i'm anxiously awaiting every update. (can't say anything else, don't want to give any of the story away!)

And as you've now read in the interview, Edward and Bella are quite unique in this story which makes it that better of a read. It's quite intense at times, especially at the beginning, or well never mind its always intense but it how it should be. And the sequel is just as good picking up right where the first story leaves off, and throws you back in the story in the first chapter. It's all action and suspense with a lot of loving mixed in.

Well I just wanted to say a few things about something new I’m doing with the blog. Along with recommendations, I’ve also started to do some Author interviews!

So I’m really excited to get to talk to some of the authors of the stories I’ve recommended, getting to know more about them and what’s going on in their heads when writing. I’m extremely humbled and ecstatic that some author’s are willing to put aside some time to talk with me about all of this, because we are all busy living our lives (some more than others) so it really means a lot to me. I’ll be asking a lot of the same things in these, because well there are just some basic things that I know I’m interested to know about each story, but hopefully there will be some more personal questions pertaining to each story individually as well. Hopefully over time I’ll get better at asking questions, but I hope they are all interesting and anyone reading this enjoys them! (already have 4 author's lined up, so keep on the look out - should be posting these in the next week)
