This blog is dedicated to the broken characters. Someone in each story feels broken somehow; either by what they’ve done, or what’s happened to them or just don’t feel like they are a good person. Luckily for them, most have their own angel to save them. All set in a post-college age range.

She is happy on her own, she wants to be left alone, and she most definitely doesn’t want to be saved. Enter Edward, true white knight, complete with a hero complex. He can’t help but have the need to save her. Can they help each other or is this just too explosive of a pair?

As the summary says this story starts out with a great basis for a story, Edward and Bella are thrown together after she loves her apartment and slowly they start to help each other. Edward's character is haunted and beautifully broken, creating an interesting twist since he's the "hero" of the story. But sometimes even a hero needs saving.

Why Read? When I fist started reading this it was a little hard, and odd really. ItzMegan73 creates an entirely new culture/religion that isn’t something familiar at all. I found myself having trouble connecting and understanding but once I was able to get into it, I was able to understand the beauty of the world she created and the complexity that really show’s how creative she is as an author. Follow Edward and Bella as they embark on a journey that brings them to places they never thought possible, and as they try to help one another find out what it means to love, live and forgive.

And Bella is stubbornly independent and unwilling to take any help (no matter how much she might need it), and so you can see, they make the most interesting pair. Starts out hot and heavy but leads into a timeless story that you won’t stop reading until it’s done.

Why Read? It's complete, yay! this story starts with a really funny/unique idea. Bella needs a date and just asks the nice coffee guy right there and then, lucky for her its Edward and we love him. It leads into an unanticipated complicated and intriguing plot line. With secrets galore, you’ll always be wondering what’s going to happen and you’ll never quite know until it does. I was a little skeptical about starting this one, the idea just seemed too silly and I was worried it would be too 'they meet and fall in love instantly' type's of stories, but once I just decided to really give it a try and got into the story I realized how wrong I was. Like I already said, this story is a lot more than meets the eye and has so many more layers then I expected. It's a bit more angst filled then i thought, especially towards the end, when a lot of Bella's past is being thrown back in her face, but it really makes the story what it is, and it would't be her Bella without it.

Why Read? This is definitely an angst story, but one of the best-written one’s I’ve come across. The friendships and relationships described in this story are, well, beautiful. This is a strictly cannon couple fanfic, even if the summary might leave you with questions. This story deals with intense emotional issues and situations and is pretty heavy to read, so you'll have to be in the right mind frame to read it (if your looking for light and fluffy, this isn't it). But if you want to read something that has a lot of substance, gets you thinking and kind of plays with your emotions, then you'll finish this feeling satisfied.

Why Read? Bella’s running from a past she’s not proud of, Edward’s trying to get it all back together. Can they help each other, or is it just too late? This story is cute, funny, witty and suspenseful. The emotions run deep as each character is dealing with hard emotional issues and the plot (so far) is amazing. We are introduced to everything slowly through the first chapters, most of them in Bella's POV but there are some in Edward's (and I've always been a fan of stories that switch back and forth), but considering what this is all about the slow pace fits perfectly. Though it’s unfinished, I’m on the edge of my seat, rooting for E/B but unsure what’s going to happen next.

Why Read? I love this story because it’s so heart warming. It’s starts off sad and its hard to hear about the lives of some of the people, but its about overcoming all of that. Filled with some angst and beautiful emotions, I found myself crying more then once before I finished it. And when I wasn’t crying I was giggling out loud and just enthralled in the plot line and the sweet sentiments of this story.

Why Read? this fic is one of a kind, Edward is intense and almost commanding (controlling?), but not in a bad way. (almost thought to put it in my questionable blog, but I thought it worked well here) It works wonderfully for the flow of the fic, but it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Extremely intense, quite OOC here and there, a good amount of angst but love all the same.

Why Read? This fanfic came highly recommended, and at first i wasn't sure because it sounded a little too angsty/dark for my taste. But when i finally gave it a chance, i fell in love. isakassees was able to write a story about a horrific trauma from both sides, the taken and the left behind. The emotions really includes you into the story and the situation, but like she said, wasn't overly graphic or horrid, very tasteful i guess you could say. This story is still being written, but because of its realistic attitude and situation it really is something worth reading.

Why Read? I'd say this is one of my favorite stories but i feel like i'm saying that so much, but its true! What i love about this story in particular is that it starts of as such a fairy tale romance, sweet and fun and just melts your heart. But what makes it so much more is that after that it continues as a story about so much more then a sappy romance. profmom72 brings depth and a touching plot line of a broken family that's trying to heal. Emotions run high as everyone learns to forgive, own up to their mistakes and really how to love again. Sometimes it feels like this is more then one story. (so glad it didn't stay a one-shot!!)

It might be odd when you first start reading this because it seems so happy, why would i put it in the fallen starts blog? Well i put that for after the first 'honeymoon' stage of the story, because each of the characters, main or sideline, have a lot of issue's that need to be addressed and fixed, creating a cast of beautifully broken people.

Why Read? This is an interesting story about taking control of your life and deciding what you really want to do. What makes it different is that it's not all perfect and easy, it's more confusing and full of mistakes. But that's what makes it more realistic, in my opinion. It also touches on the after effects of everything they go through, Edward and Bella, and their families, because every choice has a consequence. It's funny and smart in the right places, but also sad and deep in other's.

Why Read? This is an interesting story, almost like a kind of retelling of twilight but in a different context. The plot's original and really cute, Bella reaching out to someone everyone else has blocked out. About finding yourself and finding the truth. WARNING: this is rated R for a reason, without giving too much away there is a "villain" and he's seriously a sociopath, creepy, scary and a little disturbing. So be wary, but if you don't care go forth and read.

Why Read? This story is beautiful. It starts out with two pretty broken people, trying to keep living with the help of their friends. Though it really is a base of angst and drama, extremely emotional, there is also so much love and funny moments. The story moves along and takes you through different phases almost, as you follow Edward and Bella. Gives the feeling of stages, which really gives a realistic feel to the plot line. I also enjoyed the way I never really knew what was going to happen, though I knew what I wanted to happen :) Not a complete story but it will definitely be one that i'll be anxiously awaiting every update.

After he helps her get out of a sticky situation they end up running into each other again and she starts following him around. At first he really hates it but maybe he'll stop feeling that way over time. well written story, interesting and mysterious characters and a completely original plot line.

Why Read? This was a really intense fan fic, if you’re not good with angst or heavier type stories then this isn’t for you, but if you are (even a little) then do take the time and start reading this story. Some things that I really love about this is how much character growth goes on during the story. I also enjoyed how true ocdmess staid to her characters, not making them change over night and really having them deal with what was going on and how they felt about it. Some stories it’s nice to have the characters change really quickly to what you want them to be like, but it’s not what really happens in life. This is a truly complex and interesting story. I’m sad that I’ts complete but at the same time its nice to go back and be able to reread it.

Why Read? Now this is a pretty angsty fic at the beginning but it's so beyond amazing that you just have to keep reading. Edward is the boss, and well a complete an utter jerk - and his mood swings are so ridiculous. And Bella's got a whole lot of issue's, pretty much stemming from the fact that she can't remember any part of her life before the age of 17. Now she's got the job of edward's personal assistant, something that's hard (cause no one lasts long at that job). But as the story goes she starts having these dreams, but are they just that or could there be more? A journey of self discovery, forgiveness and healing. absolutely beautiful

Why Read? First off I loved the premise of the story, right away the summary had me hooked and ready for more. Another interesting thing was that Bella finds Edward and is really the savior figure, which isn’t the case in a lot of fanfiction. I like how intense, complex and mysterious Edward is throughout this story and how sheviking develops her characters separately as well as together. A fun, heartwarming story with just enough mystery and twists/turns to keep you guessing the whole way.

They find just too many shady things, and as Bella enlists the help of her 'hacker type friend' Emmett, and Edwards twin sister Alice, they might just find out more than anyone expected.

Why Read? What got me to read this story was the summary, it sounded interesting and wasn’t something I’ve read before at all. Once I started reading the story it wasn’t what I expected at all (in a good way). The plot was a lot more complex then I imagined and the way she set up the relationships is quite interesting (so far if you absolutely love Alice you might have some trouble with this story). I like how she realistically portrays her characters throughout, staying true to their feelings and actions no matter the situation. A bit strong on the angst though it isn’t categorized as it, but I’m really looking forward to what’s going to happen next.

Why Read? Honestly I could go on about the great characters, interesting plot and depth of situations. How it wasn’t what I expected and I kept guessing at what was going to happen until the very last chapter, but that would take forever. Basically, its by SyndeyAlice and that should be enough for anyone to go read it.

Title: An Angry Man

Why Read? This story is definitely Hurt/Comfort and so far mostly that from what’s written so far (2/8) if you are looking for a happy go lucky or a super sweet story, this isn’t it – or at least not right now. THAT doesn’t mean it’s not an amazing story and one you should definitely check out, because it really is. Katinki’s Edward and Bella both have major issue’s they are trying to deal with, both in quite different ways, and when they come together its amazing to see how they deal with each other and how they start to heal.

Why Read? I’m a sucker for a story where Edward saves Bella, and from the summary I think it’s leaning towards that. Bella’s stuck with her abusive husband with no apparent way out. Its hard to read at some points because you just so desperately want to get her out of her situation asap and of course just being readers can’t do anything about it. It’s not too far into the story so I can’t say much at this point but I’m just addicted to this one and can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen next.

Don’t want to give away too much, but I was hooked from the summary and though it’s sad (you already know that people die) it’s also so heartwarming and tender, I definitely cried while reading this (but not in a bad way). Not a crazy long story, though I wished it could have kept going, this is one you should check out for sure.

Why Read? It took me forever to get on the train and read this story (since everyone’s been reading it since day one). I just have a hard time starting stories that have kids in them, since they are so complicated and hard to write they can really ruin a story. But this is so not the case with ItzMegan73 and since I really love her and her stories I should have had more faith that her kid would be one of the amazing ones (sorry about that). Edward’s character is really great, well he’s mostly a jerk at first but its not all his fault – as you got from the summary it’s a pretty crazy situation he’s thrust into. This story has everything you could possibly want in a fanfic, and even when I thought it was wrapping up she opens more doors and brings new life to the story – I hope it never ends :D

After a few pretty funny interactions they slowly start to get to know each other and somehow after turning down a date she ends up taking him out to dinner instead (how that happened even she doesn’t know). Can’t say a lot more because a lot of this story is about the mystery that is Edward Cullen and all that’s in his life. You’ll just have to read and find out more at the same time that Bella does. Guarantee intrigue, mystery, romance, action, suspense and so forth.

This story had a lot of drama and craziness that I loved reading about (it wasn’t so crazy that it was unbelievable which I think happens a lot). There was also a nice amount of slow(ish) burn romance and these characters are trying to figure out life. Definitely some plot lines thrown in that I doubt you’ll ever see coming which kept the story more interesting then it already was and gave some more levels of intrigue.
